It is well known that the trend of Italian politics does not impress the financial markets, but we are not sure, however, of the opposite. The financial markets could begin to worry about an Italy that finds it difficult to identify a government structure and is the protagonist of slow economic growth and an unstable banking system. March 9, 2018 will mark the ninth anniversary of the lows reached by Wall Street after the Lehman Brothers crisis, the date from which the American stock market did nothing but rise, giving rise to an expansionary cycle of uncommon duration in history. This situation was possible following a series of factors, which are now changing and consequently lead to thinking that the future may not be exactly rosy.
