La ricerca ipotizza che una hard Brexit sarebbe un ulteriore shock in una situazione gi\u00e0 critica e costerebbe anche due o tre volte di pi\u00f9 delle perdite causate dal blocco e dalle varie misure restrittive imposte nel 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Lo studio sostiene che la crisi economica causata dalla pandemia potrebbe essere superata in circa 18 mesi, mentre gli effetti di un no-deal avrebbero un impatto negativo sull'economia britannica per circa 15 anni. Infatti, la Covid-19 ha causato una riduzione del PIL di oltre 20% negli ultimi mesi, ma gi\u00e0 dal prossimo trimestre dovrebbe esserci una stabilizzazione verso 1,7%. Un no-deal potrebbe invece causare una riduzione del PIL di 8% per i prossimi 15 anni, cifra che si ridurrebbe a una perdita di 4,9% se si raggiungesse un accordo di libero scambio con l'Unione Europea.<\/p>\n<p>In valori assoluti, si prevede che un no-deal potrebbe costare circa 160 miliardi di sterline di perdite al Regno Unito, mentre le perdite causate dalla Covid-19 ammonterebbero a circa 40 miliardi di sterline.<\/p>\n<p>Se lo spettro di un no-deal diventasse realt\u00e0, il moltiplicarsi degli aspetti burocratici, oltre alla difficolt\u00e0 di assumere nuovi lavoratori provenienti dall'area dell'Unione Europea, causerebbe seri ostacoli al Regno Unito e alla sua capacit\u00e0 di fare affari sul proprio territorio.
