Risolvere gli errori commessi con l'entrata in vigore delle nuove regole per il congelamento o la chiusura dei conti bancari degli immigrati clandestini potrebbe essere un \"incubo assoluto\", ha avvertito un ex membro del consiglio di amministrazione della TSB.
\nA partire da gennaio, le banche e le societ\u00e0 edilizie effettueranno controlli per verificare se i titolari di un conto sono legalmente nel Regno Unito. I parlamentari hanno appoggiato la mossa nel 2016, ma Philip Augar ha affermato che sarebbero stati commessi degli errori e che \"i poveri individui\" ne avrebbero sofferto. Il Ministero dell'Interno ha dichiarato che il sistema \u00e8 \"equo\" ma \"fermo\".
\nLe istituzioni finanziarie riceveranno dall'organizzazione antifrode Cifas un elenco di persone soggette a espulsione o deportazione dal Regno Unito o che sono sfuggite ai controlli sull'immigrazione.
\nLe organizzazioni dovranno quindi segnalare i nomi scoperti e congelare o chiudere i conti. Secondo il Guardian, 70 milioni di conti saranno esaminati trimestralmente per verificare lo stato di immigrazione dei titolari...<\/p>\n
