Avec les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 qui en d\u00e9coulent et notamment la d\u00e9pression<\/em><\/p>\n<p>L'id\u00e9e semble tout droit sortie du r\u00e9alisme magique des romans de Gabriel Garcia Marquez : un \"minist\u00e8re de la solitude\". Pourtant, il existe bel et bien : Theresa May a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de le cr\u00e9er. Le gouvernement britannique aura d\u00e9sormais un \"ministre de la solitude\", a annonc\u00e9 ce matin Downing EStreet, qui devra s'occuper de ce que les autorit\u00e9s sanitaires consid\u00e8rent comme un probl\u00e8me national : 9 millions de personnes \"isol\u00e9es\", 2 millions vivant seules, au moins 200 mille personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es qui passent des semaines sans rencontrer personne. Et parce que vivre seul est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un facteur de nombreuses maladies, \u00e0 commencer par la d\u00e9pression, la solitude est un probl\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 publique pour le Royaume-Uni.<\/p>\n<p>Le poste de ministre de la solitude (c'est ainsi que l'on appelle les sous-secr\u00e9taires dans le jargon politique anglais, alors que l'\u00e9quivalent de nos ministres sont les secr\u00e9taires) a \u00e9t\u00e9 attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 Tracey Crouch, une d\u00e9put\u00e9e conservatrice. Mais le premier appel \u00e0 une initiative gouvernementale de ce type a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 par Jo Cox, la d\u00e9put\u00e9e travailliste assassin\u00e9e par un fanatique x\u00e9nophobe d'extr\u00eame droite \u00e0 la veille du r\u00e9f\u00e9rendum sur le Brexit, et le premier ministre a reconnu son r\u00f4le dans la sensibilisation du monde politique sur le sujet.<\/p>\n<p>\"Jo Cox a compris les dimensions de la solitude dans notre pays et s'est engag\u00e9e \u00e0 faire tout ce qui \u00e9tait possible pour l'\u00e9radiquer\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le leader des Tories, promettant de continuer sur la voie emprunt\u00e9e par la d\u00e9put\u00e9e travailliste afin de d\u00e9finir une strat\u00e9gie pour l'avenir. Les r\u00e9ductions des d\u00e9penses publiques qui ont entra\u00een\u00e9 la fermeture de biblioth\u00e8ques et de centres pour personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement indiqu\u00e9es parmi les causes du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne, admet le nouveau ministre Crouch, soutenant toutefois qu'il n'y a pas de solution unique et qu'il sera n\u00e9cessaire d'agir sur plusieurs fronts.<\/p>\u00a0En d\u00e9cembre dernier, le directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du NHS, le syst\u00e8me national de sant\u00e9 publique, a tir\u00e9 la sonnette d'alarme sur les effets mortels que la solitude et le gel pourraient avoir pendant les mois d'hiver. Brendan Cox, veuf de la parlementaire assassin\u00e9e, commente : \"L'une des terribles cons\u00e9quences de la perte de ma femme est de savoir qu'elle aurait rendu le monde meilleur.
