Cette hausse fait suite \u00e0 une croissance de 0,9% au cours de la p\u00e9riode pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente.<\/p>\n<p>Les salaires ont \u00e9galement augment\u00e9 plus que pr\u00e9vu. Hors primes, les salaires ont augment\u00e9 de 2,5% en glissement annuel.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, le ch\u00f4mage a l\u00e9g\u00e8rement augment\u00e9, mais reste faible \u00e0 4,4%.<\/p>\n<p>La croissance de la productivit\u00e9 - mesur\u00e9e par la quantit\u00e9 de travail produite par heure de travail - sera un encouragement pour les d\u00e9cideurs politiques qui se d\u00e9battent avec le d\u00e9fi de la faible croissance de la productivit\u00e9 depuis la crise financi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>L'ONS a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que la hausse surprise du taux de ch\u00f4mage soulevait la question de savoir si la longue p\u00e9riode de baisse du ch\u00f4mage au Royaume-Uni \u00e9tait termin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>L'augmentation des salaires reste inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 l'inflation, qui s'\u00e9levait \u00e0 3% \u00e0 la fin de l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Le salaire moyen n'a donc pas augment\u00e9 en termes r\u00e9els. Mais une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration de la croissance des salaires est un autre signe que l'\u00e9conomie britannique pourrait changer de cap.<\/p>\n<p>Les \u00e9conomistes estiment que la hausse des salaires est significative.<\/p>\n<p>Yael Selfin, \u00e9conomiste en chef chez KPMG au Royaume-Uni, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \"Il y a des signes que les salaires hebdomadaires moyens, qui ont augment\u00e9 de 2,5% au quatri\u00e8me trimestre, commencent \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la tension du march\u00e9 du travail, bien que les m\u00e9nages ressentent toujours la pression lorsqu'on tient compte de l'inflation, avec des salaires r\u00e9els en baisse de 0,3%\".<\/p>\n<p>Elle a \u00e9galement qualifi\u00e9 les chiffres de la productivit\u00e9 de \"tr\u00e8s encourageants\".<\/p>\n<p>\"Si l'am\u00e9lioration de la productivit\u00e9 se poursuit en 2018, la Banque d'Angleterre pourrait d\u00e9cider d'attendre au moins une fois avant de relever ses taux cette ann\u00e9e\", a-t-elle ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L'augmentation du ch\u00f4mage au cours des trois mois pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant la fin du mois de d\u00e9cembre est la premi\u00e8re hausse du taux de ch\u00f4mage depuis deux ans.
