El 7 de<sup>o<\/sup> En julio Boris Johnson se vio obligado a dimitir, tras la renuncia de m\u00e1s de 50 diputados, y desde entonces los principales candidatos presentados por los conservadores han sido Liz Truss y Rishi Sunak. Uno de los temas clave de esta campa\u00f1a electoral, sobre el que probablemente se decida la victoria de uno u otro candidato, ser\u00e1n las cuestiones econ\u00f3micas y fiscales, teniendo en cuenta la recesi\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica del Reino Unido y el creciente n\u00famero de familias en apuros.<\/p>\n<p>El ex Canciller brit\u00e1nico y el ex Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores intercambiaron puntos de vista sobre las pol\u00edticas futuras, debatiendo las subidas previstas del impuesto de sociedades, la supresi\u00f3n temporal de las tasas de energ\u00eda verde en las facturas energ\u00e9ticas y el aumento de los umbrales impositivos, as\u00ed como recortes r\u00e1pidos para revertir las pol\u00edticas de altos impuestos y elevados gastos de Johnson. <\/p>\n<p>Truss declar\u00f3 que suprimir\u00e1 la subida de la Seguridad Social y no seguir\u00e1 adelante con el aumento previsto del impuesto de sociedades de 19% a 25% en abril de 2023. Adem\u00e1s, tiene previsto suspender durante dos a\u00f1os los grav\u00e1menes sobre las facturas de energ\u00eda verde, que actualmente ascienden a 150 libras anuales.<\/p>\n<p>Muchos acoger\u00e1n con satisfacci\u00f3n la perspectiva de una bajada de impuestos y una cierta reducci\u00f3n de las fuertes subidas de las facturas este invierno. Aumentar el crecimiento mediante recortes fiscales puede incrementar potencialmente los ingresos fiscales con el tiempo, pero con un efecto retardado.<\/p>\n<p>Y lo que es m\u00e1s importante, el est\u00edmulo fiscal a trav\u00e9s de recortes de impuestos pondr\u00eda el enfoque del gobierno en desacuerdo con el Banco de Inglaterra, que est\u00e1 intentando controlar la inflaci\u00f3n subiendo los tipos de inter\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>En cambio, es poco probable que Rishi Sunak adopte una marcha atr\u00e1s, ya que ha sido Canciller hasta hace un mes.
