El 22 de julio, el Secretario de Estado de Empresa, Kwasi Kwarteng, lanz\u00f3 el programa \"Estrategia de Innovaci\u00f3n\", destinado a potenciar y animar a las empresas brit\u00e1nicas a invertir en investigaci\u00f3n, desarrollo e innovaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\"El Reino Unido s\u00f3lo puede estar orgulloso de su pasado en materia de innovaciones, desde la revoluci\u00f3n industrial hasta el desarrollo de la vacuna del a\u00f1o pasado\", afirm\u00f3 Kwasi Kwarteng, subrayando c\u00f3mo el esp\u00edritu de descubrimiento e innovaci\u00f3n no falta en el capital humano brit\u00e1nico, pero no es suficiente para impulsar la demanda de empleo, raz\u00f3n por la cual es prioritario poner en marcha un programa que d\u00e9 prioridad a la inversi\u00f3n en innovaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La \"Estrategia de Innovaci\u00f3n\" forma parte del programa m\u00e1s amplio a largo plazo \"Plan para el Crecimiento\", cuyo objetivo es facilitar la inversi\u00f3n en investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo a todas las empresas brit\u00e1nicas y crear las condiciones adecuadas para poder llevarla a cabo. El Reino Unido ha decidido destinar una cifra r\u00e9cord de 22.000 millones de libras a I+D para animar al sector privado a invertir en innovaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El plan se desarrollar\u00e1 en 4 \u00e1reas: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proporcionar a las empresas los recursos p\u00fablicos necesarios para la innovaci\u00f3n; <\/li>\n<li>Desarrollar las herramientas para formar a las personas; <\/li>\n<li>Formar a los organismos p\u00fablicos en I+D para que puedan facilitar informaci\u00f3n de apoyo a las empresas que quieran invertir en innovaci\u00f3n; <\/li>\n<li>Estimular la innovaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica para adquirir una ventaja estrat\u00e9gica a escala mundial.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>La importante inversi\u00f3n en innovaci\u00f3n es un paso decisivo que proporciona a las empresas no s\u00f3lo los recursos econ\u00f3micos para poder hacerlas competitivas internacionalmente, sino tambi\u00e9n para poder hacer frente a la dif\u00edcil situaci\u00f3n pand\u00e9mica actual, disponiendo de las herramientas tecnol\u00f3gicas y de innovaci\u00f3n adecuadas.<\/p>\n<p>La pandemia de Covid-19 nos ha mostrado c\u00f3mo los retos m\u00e1s importantes pueden abordarse con \u00e9xito mediante el despliegue de grandes inversiones en ciencia, innovaci\u00f3n y tecnolog\u00eda, y ha demostrado que los innovadores brit\u00e1nicos, cuando cuentan con el apoyo, la libertad y la tolerancia al riesgo adecuados, pueden lograr resultados que de otro modo no ser\u00edan alcanzables. El sector de I+D, entendido como investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo tambi\u00e9n en t\u00e9rminos de formaci\u00f3n de personal, ha sufrido un recorte en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, raz\u00f3n por la cual el Gobierno ha decidido relanzarlo mediante una \"misi\u00f3n para la innovaci\u00f3n\", seg\u00fan menciona en su web oficial www.gov.uk.<\/p>\n<p>La gesti\u00f3n se confiar\u00e1 a un nuevo \u00f3rgano, el \"Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda\", y contar\u00e1 con el apoyo del organismo que se ocupa de las estrategias cient\u00edficas y tecnol\u00f3gicas, la \"Oficina de Estrategia Cient\u00edfica y Tecnol\u00f3gica\".
