La investigaci\u00f3n especula con que un Brexit duro supondr\u00eda una sacudida m\u00e1s en una situaci\u00f3n ya de por s\u00ed cr\u00edtica y costar\u00eda incluso dos o tres veces m\u00e1s que las p\u00e9rdidas causadas por el cierre y las diversas medidas restrictivas impuestas en 2020.<\/p>\n<p>El estudio sostiene que la crisis econ\u00f3mica causada por la pandemia podr\u00eda haber terminado en unos 18 meses, mientras que los efectos de un no-deal impactar\u00edan negativamente en la econom\u00eda brit\u00e1nica durante unos 15 a\u00f1os. De hecho, Covid-19 ha provocado una reducci\u00f3n del PIB de m\u00e1s de 20% en los \u00faltimos meses, pero ya a partir del pr\u00f3ximo trimestre deber\u00eda producirse una estabilizaci\u00f3n hacia 1,7%. En cambio, un no-deal podr\u00eda causar una reducci\u00f3n del PIB de 8% durante los pr\u00f3ximos 15 a\u00f1os, cifra que se reducir\u00eda a una p\u00e9rdida de 4,9% si se alcanza un acuerdo de libre comercio con la Uni\u00f3n Europea.<\/p>\n<p>En valores absolutos, se prev\u00e9 que un no-deal podr\u00eda costar unos 160.000 millones de libras de p\u00e9rdidas al Reino Unido, mientras que la p\u00e9rdida causada por Covid-19 ascender\u00eda a unos 40.000 millones de libras.<\/p>\n<p>Si el espectro de un no-deal se hace realidad, la multiplicaci\u00f3n de aspectos burocr\u00e1ticos, adem\u00e1s de la dificultad para contratar nuevos trabajadores del \u00e1rea de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, causar\u00eda serios obst\u00e1culos al Reino Unido y a su capacidad de hacer negocios en su propio territorio.
