Tras muchos falsos amaneceres, por fin ha ca\u00eddo algo de luz solar sobre las econom\u00edas m\u00e1s fuertes de Europa.<\/em><\/p>\n

El crecimiento en toda la Uni\u00f3n Europea se sit\u00faa en niveles no vistos desde 2007.<\/p>\n

Y los pa\u00edses m\u00e1s potentes del continente -Alemania y Francia- est\u00e1n creciendo a niveles que no se registraban desde la recuperaci\u00f3n de la crisis financiera de 2010.<\/p>\n

Eran los buenos tiempos, cuando muchos cre\u00edan que lo peor de la crisis financiera ya hab\u00eda pasado.<\/p>\n

El rebote, lamentablemente, fue lo que los mercados describen como un \"gato muerto\". Es decir, no va a ninguna parte positiva.<\/p>\n

Tras el falso amanecer de 2010, siguieron a\u00f1os de calamidades econ\u00f3micas a medida que la crisis financiera se transformaba en una crisis monetaria y en el colapso econ\u00f3mico de las econom\u00edas m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as y endeudadas de Europa, encabezadas por Grecia y contagiando a Portugal e Irlanda, as\u00ed como a Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

Una uni\u00f3n monetaria y cuasi pol\u00edtica inadaptada a la flexibilidad necesaria para tratar con pa\u00edses en fases muy diferentes del ciclo econ\u00f3mico recibi\u00f3 el sello de \"caso perdido\". Muchos cr\u00edticos del proyecto europeo sacaron brillo a sus zapatos de baile, listos para bailar un tango sobre la tumba de la UE.<\/p>\n

Esos problemas siguen existiendo. La uni\u00f3n pol\u00edtica y econ\u00f3mica m\u00e1s estrecha propuesta por Francia, por ejemplo, es la pr\u00f3xima gran prueba para los gobiernos y las econom\u00edas de la UE.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed como los elevad\u00edsimos, aunque decrecientes, niveles de desempleo en toda Europa continental, especialmente entre los j\u00f3venes.<\/p>\n

Pero el proyecto (sin Gran Breta\u00f1a en el futuro, claro) sigue en pie -con tensiones y todo- y el crecimiento se ha recuperado por fin, no s\u00f3lo en la eurozona, sino tambi\u00e9n en la Uni\u00f3n Europea.<\/p>\n

Las cifras publicadas hoy por Eurostat muestran que el cuarto trimestre de 2017, en comparaci\u00f3n con el mismo periodo de 2016, fue especialmente fuerte en la mayor\u00eda de los Estados miembros de la UE, a medida que el crecimiento mundial empieza a cobrar impulso.<\/p>\n

Alemania, Francia y Espa\u00f1a dependen de las exportaciones tanto como el Reino Unido, y el aumento de la demanda se ha traducido en mayores beneficios para las empresas.<\/p>\n

Los \u00faltimos datos de UBS sobre los beneficios por acci\u00f3n de las empresas -un buen indicador de lo positivos que parecen los datos corporativos- mostraron una cifra en 2017 de 12%.<\/p>\n

Su \u00edndice de sorpresa econ\u00f3mica de la eurozona -una medida de si los datos econ\u00f3micos son mejores o peores de lo previsto- se encuentra c\u00f3modamente en la zona media de los 60 (donde por encima de 50 es positivo), cifras que no se ve\u00edan desde principios de 2014. <\/p>\n

Crecimiento mundial<\/em><\/p>\n

Las reformas estructurales en toda la UE han ayudado, sobre todo en Espa\u00f1a y Francia, donde Emmanuel Macron es el nuevo ni\u00f1o mimado de las empresas.<\/p>\n

Pero es el crecimiento mundial el que est\u00e1 levantando todos los barcos, impulsado por unas pol\u00edticas monetarias preparadas para un panorama ampliamente recesivo.<\/p>\n

Los tipos de inter\u00e9s en la eurozona, por ejemplo, siguen siendo negativos.<\/p>\n

Los bancos centrales se est\u00e1n poniendo lentamente al d\u00eda con las mejores cifras econ\u00f3micas y retirando algunos de los cohetes expansivos.<\/p>\n

Pero est\u00e1n en una senda suave, dado que hay pocos indicios de un repunte inflacionista a corto plazo.<\/p>\n

Para Gran Breta\u00f1a, donde el crecimiento sigue siendo razonable pero se ha ralentizado desde el refer\u00e9ndum del Brexit, un mejor crecimiento de la UE es una buena noticia.<\/p>\n

Casi la mitad de lo que exportamos va a la UE.<\/p>\n

Y seguimos en el mercado \u00fanico y la uni\u00f3n aduanera, que nos da acceso libre de aranceles a la UE.<\/p>\n

Esa relaci\u00f3n cambiar\u00e1.<\/p>\n

Pero el Reino Unido sigue siendo uno de los principales beneficiarios del avance de la UE.<\/p>\n
