(para \"ciudadanos de la UE\")<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Se aplicar\u00e1 espec\u00edficamente a las personas de la UE que lleven m\u00e1s de 5 a\u00f1os viviendo en el Reino Unido. Este procedimiento permitir\u00e1 adquirir la nacionalidad brit\u00e1nica al cabo de un a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>No es obligatorio tener un documento que certifique tu \"estatus de residencia permanente\" (el derecho a vivir en el Reino Unido), pero puedes solicitarlo si quieres:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demostrar por escrito que tiene ese derecho;<\/li>\n<li>Para solicitar la nacionalidad brit\u00e1nica.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>C\u00f3mo obtener el estatuto de residencia permanente<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Como ya se ha mencionado, se obtiene el estatuto de residente permanente (a veces denominado \"derecho permanente a residir\") si se ha vivido en el Reino Unido durante 5 a\u00f1os como \"persona cualificada\" (o antes de 5 a\u00f1os en algunas situaciones, por ejemplo, si se alcanza la edad de jubilaci\u00f3n).<\/p>\n<p>Tiene que enviar documentos con su solicitud.
